ESCO Launches HAZLOK™ 50185 Magnetic Safety Barrier System

Magnetic Safety Barrier System for Tire Service and Industrial Work Zones

Brooksville, FL — ESCO announces the release of the HAZLOK™ Magnetic Safety Barrier (Model 50185), a retractable industrial safety barrier designed to help technicians and facility managers quickly establish visible safety zones in tire and wheel service environments, maintenance bays, and industrial work areas.

The HAZLOK™ Magnetic Safety Barrier (Model 50185) features a high-visibility yellow and black
caution belt that extends up to 30 ft. (9.1 m), providing a fast and effective solution for temporary access control around active operations such as tire service, lifting, jacking, bead breaking, wheel handling, and general maintenance tasks.

    Flexible, Tool-Free Magnetic Mounting

Designed for flexibility and ease of use, the magnetic safety barrier system securely attaches to steel surfaces using a tool-free magnetic mount, eliminating the need for drilling or permanent installation.

This allows technicians to quickly install, reposition, and remove the barrier as job conditions change, making it ideal for dynamic work zones.

  2. ESCO in the Field: Advancing Earthmover – Tire Service with TIA.

ESCO Equipment Supply Company manufactures tools for all around the wheel… and so much more—and that commitment starts in the field.

Recently, our team participated in the Tire Industry Association Earthmover Tire Service (ETS) training in Brooksville, hosted at Miller Brothers Giant Tire Service.

The training was led by Matt White and Craig Tinklenberg, bringing together technicians and industry professionals focused on safety, performance, and proper service procedures.

    REAL-WORLD TRAINING

This was hands-on, real-world training—working on one-piece, three-piece, and five-piece earthmover tire and wheel assemblies under true service conditions.

    ESCO’s team was on-site to:

    • Observe real technician workflows.
    • Understand challenges in the field.
    • Evaluate how tools perform under pressure

    WHY TIA TRAINING MATTERS

The Tire Industry Association ETS program establishes critical safety and service standards for OTR tire service.

    The program focuses on:

    • Proper servicing techniques.
    • Safe use of hydraulic tools.
    • Lifting and stabilization procedures.
    • Service truck operation and jobsite setup.

This training ensures technicians are prepared to perform safely and efficiently in demanding environments.

    ESCO FIELD TESTING

During the training, ESCO evaluated tools and systems in real service environments.

    Focus areas included:

    • Cribbing and stabilization solutions.
    • Hydraulic tool performance.
    • Workflow efficiency.

ESCO also conducted field testing of new cribbing prototypes, currently in development and planned for release in Fall 2026—gathering direct feedback from technicians to refine performance and usability

ESCO was proud to participate in the 2026 TIA Off-The-Road Tire Conference in Orlando, Florida, supporting both the Tire Industry Association and the broader OTR tire service industry.

    Mobile Service Solutions on Display

Out front of the Rosen Shingle Creek, ESCO tools were mounted on two FEC tire service trucks, including a Model TP147PR and a similarly equipped unit. The display gave attendees a practical look at professionally configured mobile OTR service trucks equipped with jobsite-ready lifting, cribbing, and hydraulic systems.

By showcasing tools in real-world service configurations, ESCO reinforced its commitment to practical solutions built for demanding environments.

Live Field Demonstration – Komatsu HD785

ESCO equipment was also featured during a live field demonstration at Miller Bros Giant Tire Service in Brooksville.

Led by Matthew White, Director of Off Road Tire Service, the demonstration showcased proper tire service procedures on a Komatsu HD785 haul truck under real operating conditions.

Equipment in use during the demonstration included:

The demonstration emphasized safe lifting practices, proper cribbing support, controlled hydraulic operation, and adherence to manufacturer-rated capacities.

    Hydraulic Maintenance Panel

ESCO’s Ryan Palka participated in a panel discussion focused on hydraulic tool maintenance and preventative service practices.

    Key topics included:

    • Operating tools within manufacturer-rated pressure limits.

    • Maintaining clean hydraulic fluid and secure connections.

    • Proactively replacing seals and wear components.

    • Reducing costly downtime through routine inspection and service planning.

These discussions reflect ESCO’s continued investment in supporting safe and efficient service operations across OTR, mining, and heavy construction sectors.

    Continuing Industry Engagement

The TIA Off-The-Road Tire Conference remains one of the most important gatherings for fleet operators, service providers, distributors, and manufacturers in the OTR market.

ESCO values the opportunity to engage directly with industry professionals, gather feedback, and ensure our products continue to align with evolving safety standards and performance expectations.
